Karli's auction was created to benefit a girl that Kelley Bittinger’s son, Alek, grew up with.
Karli has struggled for a long time with depression. In the 7th grade Karli started cutting herself and since then has attempted suicide. She has spent time in and out of inpatient care. Karli has suffered from bullying upon her return to high school and is currently being home schooled.
Through all of the hardships this family has faced, her father has also left her mother and they are now separated. Karli's mom cannot work because she has to watch over Karli constantly. Karli’s family is in desperate need of help and so this auction was created.
We are currently searching for items to be auction off. The donated items must be received no later than December 3, 2010.
The auction will start on December 8th and end promptly at 1PM on December 10th. The auction items will be on display in the upstairs kitchen at the Trindle Road office and online at this blog spot.
Christmas is quickly approaching and this will be a great opportunity to find unique Christmas presents for friends and family. The last two auctions were a huge success and we look forward to another chance to help a child in need and her family.
Please email Mallory or Kelley Bittinger if you would be willing to donate a baked good, craft item, gift basket or whatever you can come up with!
